NISA CONFERENCE 2025 ( SINGAPORE )

Sat, 24 May 2025, 9:30am to 5.30PM | Malay
IslamicEvents.sg, Light Upon Light
Dr Tamara Gray, Sister Wardina Safiyyah, Sister Am

Fees: SG$68 - SG$195

The conference focuses on the profound concept of tawhid as the guiding light illuminating life's path. It champions the need to anchor ourselves in the correct aqidah, using it as a steadfast beacon through life's complexities especially with the onslaught of secular systems which has transformed societal dynamics often for the worst. As the early years of the Quran were spent on building a solid foundation of who Allah is and why and what it means to believe, we need to build a grounded fortress within ourselves and echo the resilience of figures in our history by identifying the symbiosis between their stories and current issues.

Ultimately, we believe the remedy to prevailing societal and systemic crises lies in cultivating an ummah deeply connected to Allah and through these conferences, we seek to remind ourselves that we all have a communal responsibility in nurturing this worldview and paradigm shift for us and future generations.

Conference Concept

In an increasingly confused world where societies are failing, families are breaking apart, and consumerism and individualism are on the rise, we have forgotten our various roles and purpose and fallen into a life of automation, sparse of intention and reflection. The growing
narrative on gender along with the many misconceptions on the topic through the lens of a very narrow understanding Islam has led to more harmful questions than answers. Our conference seeks for us to return to our roots through divine revelation and re-examining resilient women figures in our tradition by exploring them from multitudes of angles and
layers and how these translate into our lives. This is our first step to shaping women with a renewed mindset of mercy, knowledge on practical steps for change and a community as a safe space for continuous encouragement and support.
