INTERNATIONAL CHINESE MUSLIM CONFERENCE 2023 TO BE HELD IN KUCHING, SARAWAK

Kuching, Sarawak - The International Chinese Muslim Conference 2023 with the theme “The Roles and Impacts of Chinese Muslims: Embracing the Future” will be held from August 18-20, 2023, in Kuching, Sarawak.

MACMA is looking forward for The Right Honourable Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, Premier of Sarawak to officiate the conference.

The conference will be organized by the Malaysia Chinese Muslim Association (MACMA) and will feature a diverse range of sessions and workshops on topics such as education, business & finance, culture, and the role of Chinese Muslims together with other citizens in promoting peace and development. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage in networking events and participate in cultural activities highlighting the rich history and traditions of Chinese Muslim communities.

“We are excited to host the International Chinese Muslim Conference 2023 in Kuching and provide a platform for scholars, leaders, experts and society to exchange ideas and best practices for promoting development and prosperity,” said Prof. Datuk ChM. Ts Dr. Taufiq Yap Yun Hin, President of the Malaysia Chinese Muslim Association (MACMA). “We believe that this conference will contribute to strengthening interfaith cooperation and promoting peace, harmony, and prosperity among people of all faiths and backgrounds. MACMA strongly supports the Malaysia MADANI concept where we celebrate diversity and also inspire positive values in our society."

The International Chinese Muslim Conference 2023 is expected to draw a diverse group of
attendees from Singapore, China, Brunei, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, and
around the world, including representatives from government, academia, and civil society
organizations.

The conference will also provide a unique opportunity for attendees to learn
about the vibrant history and culture of Chinese Muslims and explore the ways in which they have contributed to the development of the community.
