Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahim is currently a Professor and attached with the Faculty of Economics and Muamalat,the Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM) based in Nilai, Malaysia. Beside full-time at USIM, he is also attached with the International Shari'ah Research Academy in Islamic Finance (ISRA) based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, as a Research Fellow
Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahim started his academic career as a lecturer and later was appointed as Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). At IIUM, he has held a number of administrative posts including the Dean of Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIiBF). He has been actively involved as a panel of academic for Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). Since January 2012, he has been appointed by MQA to sit in the Accreditation Committee. In 2010, he has been appointed by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia as a member of the Economics and Finance Cluster of the Majlis Professor Negara (MPN). Professor Abdul Rahim is deeply involved in teaching, curriculum development and research especially on Islamic accounting and Islamic finance. He has published 2 books, more than 30 academic papers in international refereed journals, and has presented more than 60 papers at national and international conferences.
