International Roundtable Conference on Islamic Leadership

Overview
Science Development Network Leadership Centre (SDNLC) is organizing a two day International Round Table Conference for Muslims scientists in the 2nd quarter of 2014. This will be preceded by a day workshop for SDNLC ambassadors from different OIC countries as a pre-conference activity. There will also be a day action planning workshop for regional ambassadors as a post conference activity. In future, it is expected to be an annual event. This event is expected to attract top scientists from five continents, who will spend many hours deliberating on how to establish sustainable collaboration networks among scientists who share common aspirations of harnessing science and technology to serve humanity and the society.

Objective

Generally, the conference is intended to be a strategic platform to discuss the issues related to leadership development for Muslim Scientists in Research, Innovation, Collaboration and Entrepreneurship. It will also tackle the question of how scientists can collaborate more to achieve more efficiency and effectiveness.
Specifically, the main objectives of this conference are:

• To strengthen existing and establish new collaboration network among Muslim researchers, and intellectuals in generating studies imperative for the development of the Ummah and all mankind.
• To provide strategies and directions in the field of Islamic leadership with regards to research, innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship as well as collaboration
• To establish a framework for the digital society of collaborating scientists harnessing synergies and ICT applications for research, innovation and creativity with focus on the needs of the Ummah.
